ADTEC Shah Alam is a training institution committed to produce highly-skilled manpower to meet the demands of the industry. There are nine technical courses on offer at ADTEC Shah Alam. ADTEC Shah Alam’s trainees comprise of school-leavers and graduates of other skills-training institutes who wish to pursue and enhance their technical knowledge and skills.
School-leavers and graduates from industrial training institutes who possess the SKM Level 2 or 3 certificates are eligible to enrol in the Diploma in Technology and Advanced Diploma in Technology’s long-term courses. They will undergo an integrated training that emphasizes on practical training (50 – 60%), with another 40-50% devoted to theories. The practical competence gained by the trainees would equip them with the necessary skills in their career as a Technician or Assistant Technician in relevant industries. This is due to the fact that in ADTEC Shah Alam, they are trained to handle equipments similar to those employed in the industry, until their competency meets the standard required. Coupled with a comprehensive training and systematic evaluation methods, we are capable of producing highly-skilled technocrats that are productive, qualified and competitive.
As ADTEC Shah Alam has on offer a few short-term technical courses, it has also contributed vastly in the training of numerous technical personnel from various multinational, SMEs and, cottage industries. A number of short-term module and customized courses have been run, with many more in the pipeline, as ADTEC could cater to industry’s needs. Companies that require “customized” courses could determine the suitable duration, date and venue themselves. As a training institute registered with PSMB, its training schemes can also be used to fund these short-term courses. Industries are welcomed to take advantage of the opportunities of the training available at ADTEC Shah Alam to improve their employees’ skills.
As for SMEs, they are encouraged to strike cooperation to utilize training equipment available at ADTEC in order to develop prototype or manufacture trial products in small numbers.
