Aviation Maintenance Technology Courses Aviation Maintenance Technology courses was conducted in ADTEC Shah Alam since December 2005 following the ‘Memorandum of Understanding’ (MOU) between the Ministry of Human Resources (MOHR) and National Aerospace and Defense Industries Bhd (NADI). Advanced Technology Training Centre, Shah Alam , (ADTEC Shah Alam ) is one of the Skilled Learning Institutions which is monitored under the authority of Manpower Department, Ministry of Human Resources was chosen to be the center for Aviation Maintenance Technology Course. |

OBJECTIVES · To produce highly skilled manpower for the growing airline industry. · To improve quality of manpower skill in the aviation sector. · To provide a strategic programmes and courses for organization. · To provide a comprehensive training programme to schools leavers, to meet the needs and interest of trainees who want to develop a career as aircraft maintenance technician and engineer. · To equip trainees with both skills and technical knowledge to work in aircraft maintenance , repair and overhaul (MRO). |

Aviation Technology is one of the critical requirement in academic/ training in Malaysia. The semi skilled and skilled labour force will become the bedrock foundation of Malaysia’s industrialization status in the year 2020. The Malaysian Government, in recognition of this element has apportioned a substantial amount of the annual budget to human resources development. With the development of skilled manpower for industrial sector will provide shortage of labour force that highly required by the Nation and would compliment Malaysia’s aspiration towards industrialization. Malaysia is one of the strategic nation located in Central Region of the heart of South East Asia is most suitable for Aviotion industries. It also importance of developing the human capital to support the growth of the Aerospace industry in Malaysia in line with government aspiration to be hub of Aviation. From the survey which was done by Malaysian Industries Government of High Technology (MIGHT) it was also noted that existing technical institutions are not able to satisfy the industry’s demand and certificate levels, which is the source of expert technicians and Licensed Aircraft Engineers for the General Aviations and MRO Industries. Aviation industries is well known to Malaysian citizen nowadays. As you may be aware, the aviation industry is set to grow in the Asia and Pacific regions (including Malaysia) with the advent growth of China and India economies. Currently, the Malaysian government's plan to set up an international regional hub for aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and aviation activities. |

Our highly professional instructors are carefully selected respected experts, with considerable experience in their field. Instructors are well qualified with more than 20 years experiences in MRO organizations and line servicing with or without basic license for aircraft maintenance. A total of 17 people experienced retirees from Air Force Units , AIROD Sdn Bhd , MAS Engineering , SME Aviation and several others aviation company has been appointed as contract instructors. Courses syllabus is based on BCAR Section L of Civil Aviation Authority of United Kingdom. |

CONCLUSION Training programmes in Aviation Technology requires commitment of organization in order to improve knowledge and experiences of semi-skill and skilled workforce.
